What’s the role?

As a software engineer you will be supporting two implementations of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including their supporting integrations with enterprise data systems and applications.   You will work with a small team of fast-paced engineers enhancing and maintaining our production and various development environments.  Your job duties will include:

  • Maintaining our existing inventory of C# (leveraging the Microsoft Dynamics CRM SDK) and Java applications, to communicate between Dynamics and our other enterprise systems.
  • Work on an agile team helping determine effort sizing, timing and impact on other connected systems.   Balance requirements and constraints to continue to deliver on the team's cadence


Planned work this year includes:

  • Movement of multiple on-premise IIS deployed .Net applications to Azure Application Services
  • Technology refresh of all of our Java applications hosted under WAS7.    These will either be upgraded to a Highly Available WAS9 platform or re-platformed to a cloud-based application potentially changed to C#
  • Migration and eventual retirement of SOAP services, to be replaced with REST-based endpoints
  • Modernization of our CICD pipeline to primarily utilize GitLab
  • Creation of a new integration providing self-scheduling capabilities for people seeking meeting time with FR’s


Bring Your Best! What this role needs:

  • Bachelor of Science in MIS or Computer Science strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience in software engineering, primarily in C# or Java development.  
  • Experience in modern development and collaboration tools (such as: git-based technologies, Jira, automated build/test, TDD)
  • Experience using HTTP/SOAP/REST troubleshooting tools
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to explain technical problems/solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Fast learner and self-starter


Additional Beneficial Skills:

  • Experience with modern JavaScript techniques and toolkits
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience customizing/configuring Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including C#-based plugins
  • Experience in Azure cloud offerings such as:  Application Services, Azure SQL, Service Bus, Application Insights
  • Experience using / maintaining CICD pipelines
