What’s the role?

This individual will apply engineering best practices to analyze, design, develop, test, deploy and support software for the Inforce Reporting (IFRP) application in the Illustrations Support team.  They will help lead a geographically distributed team by promoting industry best practices as a world class development and support organization.

  • Experience with engineering best practices to include analyzing, designing, developing, testing, deploying and supporting software solutions
  • Demonstrated strong  development skills with mainframe technologies (PL/I, JCL, SAS, CICS)
  • Possess a support mindset and attitude, along with a passion for learning new technologies and building on your core knowledge base.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated understanding of support industry standards, technologies, methodologies and best practices
  • Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work with a limited set of requirements
  • Desire to work collaboratively on creative solutions, as well as take initiative to work with minimal supervision
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience with agile methodologies preferred
  • Experience with building relationships across technical and business disciplines
  • Familiarity with industry standard support tool set (ZenDesk, Cherwell, New Relic, PagerDuty, Monitoring, JIRA, etc.) a plus
