What's the Role?

The Senior Manager Marketing Data & Analytics, oversees the monthly creation and delivery of marketing’s primary and secondary KPIs and support the campaign management process for over 70 yearly campaigns delivered to our Northwestern Mutual Clients. Responsibilities include refining and streamlining the data management process, partnering with stakeholders to automate campaign data, make recommendations to business partners based on data insights, and provide reports to support field engagement with marketing campaigns.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop system, processes and reporting solutions for internal customers in support of marketing initiatives.
  • Work with all levels within the department and other key stakeholders outside the department to gather, analyze, and interpret data to measure strategy and assess results.
  • Responsible for the analysis, development, and production of monthly KPIs.
  • Ensure all campaign lists are correctly loaded and coded for delivery, Q/A data outputs prior to delivery to external vendors, ESP, Mail Vendors, etc.
  • Develop relational databases and data driven marketing systems to segment customers, distribute marketing materials, and produce reports.
  • Review and develop business requirements for technical projects to help streamline data processes.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years work experience with progressively responsible roles in a data analytics.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to use data to optimize current programs and processes and identify new opportunities, experience with relational databases SAS or SQL a plus
  • Subject matter expertise with marketing concepts and a high degree of expertise with marketing programs
  • Experience with marketing tools and platforms, Adobe, Salesforce, Google Analytics, or similar
  • Experience with CRM platforms and email service providers is a plus
  • Obsessive attention to detail and deadline driven
  • Strong analytical abilities especially in decision making and problem solving
  • Comfortable working with marketing, data engineering, data scientist, and program managers
  • Highly collaborative, self-starter, challenging assumptions, always interested in learning, flexible working in a rapidly changing environment
