What's the role?

Northwestern Mutual is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Business Analyst to support technology delivery across our Investment Products and Services business unit. The role requires understanding of the technical and business landscape and the ability to drive solutioning to deliver consistent business value. This individual will work closely with project resources, business and operations SMEs, engineers, and vendors to deliver new and enhanced functionality in a mixed-methodology environment. A good foundation of technical fundamentals should be complemented by soft skills in building relationships, effectively eliciting and documenting requirements, critical problem-solving skills, and working toward shared goals.

 

Bring Your Best! What this role needs:

  • 4+ years relevant work experience required.
  • Perform business analysis for medium to large IPS technology implementation efforts. Work closely with business SMEs, cross-functional teams, and technology vendors to understand and define impacted users and workflows, create and maintain use cases, and develop functional requirements for new system enhancements and associated workflows.
  • Support the Lead Business Analyst or Project Manager in facilitating accurate communication of needs, concerns, risks, and issues among the business stakeholders, engineering, operations, and the vendors.
  • Work closely with the Program Management Office to ensure adherence to expected scope, schedule, and cost plans, clearly communicating any risks and contributing to status updates.
  • Self-directed and detailed, with creative brainstorming and solutioning skills and strong communications.
