What's the role?

As the lead Kafka engineer, you will lead and mentor a team of engineers who support and maintain an enterprise Kafka implementation. You will partner with various development teams to onboard them to the streaming platform and ensure deployments are aligned with business need. You will work your team to establish best practices and ensure software development best practices are adhered to. 


Bring Your Best! What this role needs:


  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • 8 years of experience in leading IT projects, preferably with Enterprise integration (MQ, SOA, etc)
  • Demonstrated experience in deploying, managing, monitoring / supporting & troubleshooting Kafka clusters based applications on Linux platforms
  • A strong understanding of distributed systems and networking
  • An expert in designing, building and running a highly available, scalable Kafka Cluster

  • Adamant about adhering to best practices in software design & development

  • Strong in designing Kafka Topics, Partitions, Producer / Consumer groups & setting up highly available clusters (with zookeeper)

  • Expert in optimization & performance tuning for Kafka clusters and asministration tasks
