Under the direction of the Assistant Director – Concierge Planning, this role leads case work with our highly successful Wealth Management Advisors their affluent clients, other advisors, and the Concierge Planning team. In that capacity, serves as the point of contact for case review and strategy, analysis of comprehensive financial plans, and creating solutions to address complex Estate, Business, Retirement and Wealth Management and Transfer goals. This role will also develop and deliver engaging and inclusive presentations to Advisors, their clients, and Home Office Leadership about Concierge Planning’s services and capabilities.  Ability to present comprehensive financial plans and solutions to advisors, their affluent clients, and other advisors (e.g., attorneys, accountants, CFOs, etc.) is an essential part of the role.

 

Bring Your Best! What this role needs:

  • Bachelors Degree and Juris Doctorate with 8+ years of legal experience in a law firm, insurance or financial services company
  • Licensed to practice law in at least one state
  • Solid understanding of insurance and investment products; NM product knowledge a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise working on sophisticated cases, including planning for businesses and business owners, estate planning, and in general for affluent clients
  • Strong written skills articulating complex concepts and financial data in the plan
  • Effectively communicates and engaging interpersonal skills, both written and verbal with a diverse client base and financial needs
  • Experience and knowledge with planning tools, a plus
  • Proven ability to build rapport and exercise tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to travel as needed to present to clients and advisors
  • WI Available to work in Northwestern Mutual’s downtown Milwaukee office four or five days per week
  • Other designations and licensing strongly preferred:
    • LLM, CFP, CPA, MBA (strongly preferred)
    • CLU, ChFC, MSFS, AEP (preferred)
    • Series 6 or 7 Licensing (required within six months)
