What's the role?

Northwestern Mutual is looking for a talented Business Analyst to support technology delivery across our Investment Products and Services business unit. The role requires awareness of the technical and business landscape and the ability to support solution definition to deliver consistent business value. This individual will work closely with project resources, business and operations SMEs, engineers, and vendors to deliver new and enhanced functionality in a mixed-methodology environment. A foundation of technical fundamentals should be complemented by soft skills in effectively eliciting and documenting requirements, critical thinking, and working toward individual goals.


Bring Your Best! What this role needs:

  • 3+ years relevant work experience required.
  • Perform business analysis for small to medium IPS technology implementation efforts. Work closely with project resources to support user and workflow impact analysis, use case creation, and functional requirements documentation for new system enhancements and associated workflows.
  • Contribute to the success of the team by facilitating accurate communication of needs, concerns, risks, and issues among the business stakeholders, engineering, operations, and the vendors.
  • Work closely with the Program Management Office to ensure adherence to expected scope, schedule, and cost plans, clearly communicating any risks and contributing to status updates.
  • Self-directed and detailed, with critical thinking and strong communication skills.
