Agile Delivery Manager

The Agile Delivery Manager is responsible for ensuring that all activities which occur in the department are done leveraging Agile best practices.  The ideal candidate is someone that can ensure development teams are running well.  This position will focus on coaching Agile best practices, go to a malfunctioning team and turn them around.  This position will leverage data, developing metrics and dashboards to track progress and report to senior leaders.  


About the Job:

  • Drive Agile maturity and Innovation approaches across a cross-functional development teams
  • Provide team, process, and business understanding leadership to cross-functional development teams
  • Run project discovery sessions, provide goal-oriented business analysis, keep teams coordinated and aligned, remove obstacles, solve problems, provide leadership around Agile practices
  • Ensure we are meeting or exceeding our client expectations
  • Work as Project and Iteration Manager, Agile Coach, and Delivery Lead for a variety of client engagements for large and small teams.
  • Drive continuous improvements
  • Focusing teams to deliver value quickly and improving efficiency
  • Foster a motivating culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate across other Agile teams for dependency management
  • Leverage data to measuring and monitoring progress against commitments
  • Systematize best practices and create visibility through dashboards and reports


About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • You have experience working as an engineer delivering software in an agile environment
  • You enjoy being on cutting edge, high profile projects and are motivated by delivering solutions on an aggressive schedule
  • You’re not content simply facilitating but instead you regularly look for ways to roll up your sleeves to help the team meet commitments
  • You have a knack for spotting and resolving ambiguity
  • You enjoy learning new things and mentoring more junior team members
  • You look first to try to prevent problems, but eagerly dig in to solve them when they arise


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master
  • 5+ years of experience facilitating Agile teams on technology projects
  • 4+ years of experience managing projects
  • 3+ years’ experience in one or more of the following: SQL, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • 3+ years' experience working in cloud services: Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other Cloud services
